The 2012 season sees eleven race meetings with Hot Rods, Junior Rods and Rookie Bangers expected to race on all dates. The season will open on Good Friday, 6th April (3pm start time) and thereafter there will be a meeting every third week.

Once again the first ten meetings will also see qualifying points earned for the season finale Lincolnshire Cup meeting which will also feature a giant fireworks display and take place on Saturday 3rd November.

For 2012 the club are pleased to announce the club have been accepted as part of the IOPD (International Organisation of Professional Drivers). It does mean that there is a £10 increase in registration costs with £15 paid to the IOPD and the club registration fees reduced to £25. Both application forms must be completed and returned along with FOUR PASSPORT photographs and £40 to Scunthorpe Raceway Ltd. 157 Moorwell Road, Scunthorpe, DN17 2SX. A driver can drive on a day licence but only twice; after that a full licence must be taken out.

Drivers will be issued with licences at the first meeting and there will now be ZERO tolerance on drinking while competing. Random breath tests will be introduced and anyone found guilty will recieve a one meeting ban for the first offence, a two meeting ban for a second offence and a year's ban for a third. If a driver refuses to give a breath test it will be assumed that they have been drinking and they will not be permitted to take part in that night's meeting, will forfeit their entrance fee and automatically receive the same ban as if they had failed the breath test.
