2012 Fixtures
The management would like to wish everyone connected with the stockcars at Scunthorpe, including all the drivers and fans, a wonderful Christmas and all the best for 2012.
They also have the pleasure of announcing eleven meeting dates for the 2012 season where it is expected that Hot Rods, Junior Rods and Rookie Bangers will race. The season will open on Good Friday, 6th April (3pm start time) and thereafter there will be a meeting every third week.
Once again the first ten meetings will also see qualifying points earned for the season finale Lincolnshire Cup meeting which will also feature a giant fireworks display and take place on Saturday 3rd November.

After consultation with drivers the Hot rod rules have been revised for 2012. They are now available in the Hot Rod section (see link below)
The Rookie Banger Class is now only open to INVITED DRIVERS. The qualifying points for the Lincolnshire trophy were cleared and re-started from the meeting on 25th June. We apologise for this but we will do all we can to make racing at Scunthorpe an enjoyable experience for everyone
Please note that SINGLE POINT INJECTORS ARE NOW ALLOWED IN HOT RODS AND JUNIOR RODS whilst RADIATORS CAN NOW BE PLACED IN THE BACK OF HOT RODS, BUT ONLY HOT RODS

Stock Cars
Scunthorpe Raceway have announced their stockcar meeting dates for the 2011 season. The extended fixture list sees ten meetings with the season opener set for Saturday 9th April (6pm start). Meetings will take place every third or fourth week throughout the year and the season will conclude with the very popular Bonfire Night meeting on Saturday 5th November. Rookie Bangers, Hot Rods and Junior Rods will be ever-present classes throughout the season competing for the 2011 Lincolnshire Trophies.
Track promoter Rob Godfrey believes the third season of racing at the Eddie Wright Raceway will be the best yet. “Things went from strength to strength when we took over the running of the stockcars last season and the Lincolnshire Trophies proved very popular. This year we are encouraging drivers in our three regular classes to take out a track license and over the course of the season they will save money. We will be organizing our own grading system in the Hot Rods and Junior Rods which should improve the racing even further whilst the bangers are always fantastic family entertainment”.

Class Rules and standings
PLEASE NOTE THE ROOKIE BANGER RULES HAVE HAD TO BE CLARIFIED ONCE AGAIN. Radiators MUST be in their original mountings, can not be behind engines, no steam tanks are allowed and no additional strengthening of bodywork. There are to be no Jaguars, Mondeos or large Volvos. Please see the full rules section.
