| Last night the Henderson Insurance Scunthorpe Scorpions made their long-awaited debut in the Premier Trophy against league title favourites Sheffield. They couldn’t have faced a tougher start but the Scorpions performed better than many visitors to Owlerton despite still losing 57-36. Swedish rider Magnus Karlsson led the Scorpions scoring with 11 points whilst Richard Hall weighed in with 10. |  |

| The Henderson Insurance Scunthorpe Scorpions lost their opening home meeting of the season today when they were beaten by title favourites Sheffield 48-41. Top scorer for the Scorpions was Richard Hall who scored 9+1 whilst Sheffield’s top scorer was Andre Compton who claimed 12+1. | |

24.03.08: Saints edge out Boston in a thriller |

| The Scunthorpe Saints made their bow in the Conference League on Monday afternoon and edged out their Lincolnshire rivals, and one of the title favourites, the Boston Barracudas in a last-heat decider. The Saints won 46-43 but had to thank reserve Scott Richardson for a career-high 17-point score as a series of falls allowed the Barracudas to stay in touch throughout the meeting. | |

30.03.08: Scorpions tie thriller with Bears |

| The Henderson Insurance Scunthorpe Scorpions claimed their first point in the Premier Trophy on Sunday afternoon when they drew 45-all with the Redcar Bears at the Eddie Wright Raceway. As with the first home meeting against Sheffield this was another tense affair with never more than four points between the two sides all afternoon. The Scorpions looked to have one hand on the two points with two races to go but a dramatic ride by Tyron Proctor in the last race salvaged a point for the Bears. | |

| The Henderson Insurance Scunthorpe Scorpions fired on all cylinders on Friday night as they comfortably defeated a Newcastle Diamonds side that were expected to provide them with a stiff challenge. The Diamonds had been in excellent form coming into the meetings but Scorpions pulled away in the second half of the meeting to win 55-38. All six riders made valuable contributions whilst the two teams produced heat after heat of the highest calibre racing. | |
