He became something of a nomad in the second half of the decade, racing for Newport (2004), Berwick (2005), Newport again (2006) and Newcastle (2007) before signing for Scunthorpe in 2008 when the Scorpions stepped up into the second tier.

Since then, he's become part of the furniture at the Eddie Wright Raceway and goes into the 2011 campaign with 138 official appearances for the club to his name, placing him seventh on the all-time list.

Has plenty of Elite League experience after fulfilling a doubling-up role with Ipswich for the last two seasons and his all-action, never- say-die style makes him a real crowd favourite wherever he goes.

Actually rode in the very first meeting at the Eddie Wright Raceway in March, 2005, when he reeled off five straight wins in an individual meeting – but then missed out on glory when he fell and was excluded in the grand final.
