2011 Scorpions
Thomas Jørgensen
Date of Birth : 14 July 1992
Place of Birth : Denmark
Thomas first came to the club's attention when he toured Britain with Team Viking in July 2010.

He impressed in one of the club's amateur meetings, but reports of his achievements at Plymouth and Peterborough for Team Viking were what confirmed he was worth tracking.

At the smallest track in the country he registered 15+1 and broke the track record, whilst on a deep track at Peterborough he and team-mate Marc Randrup produced a second-half race (and time) that rivalled what had been achieved in the preceding Elite League meeting.

Despite stiff competition from several other Premier League clubs, Thomas agreed to sign for the Scorpions for the 2011 season in October 2010, prior to winning the Rob Woffinden Memorial meeting at the Eddie Wright Raceway.

His first full season in British Speedway was little short of sensational, as he piled up in excess of 300 points for the Scorpions, including paid 18 against Leicester and paid 19 against eventual Premier League Champions Glasgow.

Thomas rode 80cc speedway for six years and reached number two in the world in 2005. He has raced for three seasons in the Danish Superleague and will ride for Fjelsted in 2012.

He will also ride for Elite League Wolverhampton in 2012 in a doubling-up role.
