Scunthorpe Speedway have never used any scripts or programs to track visitors using this site. We take the privacy of a site visitor very seriously.

The British Speedway Promoters Association (BSPA) has supplied all clubs a Statcounter tracking script code to track users of Official club websites. The inclusion of this tracking code is mandatory. We now therefore must legally publish a privacy policy.

Scunthorpe Speedway does not hold any information of the visitors to this site.

Statcounter places a cookie on the visitors computer and will track where the visitor has come from (a referral), and the link they click when leaving the site. A cookie consists of information sent by a web server to a web browser, and stored by the browser. The information is then sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server. This enables the web server to identify and track the web browser.

Scunthorpe Speedway.com does not access this information. It is collected by Statcounter and the information is then available to the BSPA and any contracted partners it authorises to use the information. For further details, please contact the BSPA.

2. In the General tab, click Settings

2. Select the Privacy tab, and then click Sites. The Per site privacy actions window will be displayed
3. In the Per site privacy actions window, enter statcounter.com in the Address of Web site field
4. Click Block

To block statcounter.com cookie in Mozilla Firefox

1. From the Tools menu, select Options
2. In the upper section of the Options window, click Privacy
3. In the Cookies tab, click Exceptions
4. In the new Exceptions - Cookies window, enter statcounter.com in the Address of Website field and click Disable
