02.02.12: Exciting season ahead for Scorpions |

| HENDERSON INSURANCE Scunthorpe Scorpions will start their official fixtures for the new season, by taking on Berwick in the League Cup at the Eddie Wright Raceway on Friday, March 23rd. The visit of the Bandits follows the Press and Practice Day on Saturday, March 10th, and the visit of Leicester in the Kenny Smith Memorial Trophy on Friday, March 16th. Berwick boast a mouth-watering heat-leader trio of Seb Alden, Lee Complin and Ricky Ashworth, and will prove a stern early season test for the Scorpions. |

26.01.12: Kenny Smith Memorial launches season |

| SCUNTHORRE Scorpions will launch their 2012 season, by taking on Premier League rivals Leicester Lions in the Kenny Smith Memorial at the Eddie Wright Raceway on Friday, March 16th. Scorpions’ team manager Richard Hollingsworth said: “We always intended to start the 2012 season with Kenny’s meeting, after it was sadly rained off at the end of 2011. After careful consideration, we have decided that, this season, the meeting in honour of Kenny will feature the Scorpions in a team meeting, rather than opting for an individual meeting". |

20.01.12: Henderson Insurance back for sixth season |

| SCUNTHORPE Scorpions are proud to announce Henderson Insurance Brokers as their team sponsor for a sixth successive season in 2012. Promoter Rob Godfrey is delighted to have their backing. He said: “It’s great to have the continued support of Henderson Insurance. They are a successful company, having operated for more than 20 years, and they seem to grow bigger every year. It’s the sixth year on the trot that we will be known as the Henderson Insurance Scunthorpe Scorpions. They are one of the longest running team sponsors in speedway - and it’s fantastic to have them on board again.” |

15.01.12: Press and Practice Day announced |

| Saturday 10th March has been announced as Scunthorpe Speedway’s Press and Practice Day. Riders from both the Henderson Insurance Scunthorpe Scorpions Premier League side and the Jotun Paints Scunthorpe Saints National League side will be in attendance for a photograph and interview session before taking to the track for some pre-season practice. Fans are invited to come along to watch and then they have the opportunity to join the riders and management for a ten-pin bowling session. | |
