THE teams have been confirmed for the second meeting of the Good Friday double-header at the Eddie Wright Raceway.
Following the Scunthorpe Scorpions v Leicester Lions League Cup match (start-time 3pm), the Scunthorpe Saints will take to the track in the first of a series of National League challenge matches, entertaining a Long Eaton select side.

The Scunthorpe Saints are set for a return to action in 2013 with the club planning to run National League standard challenge meetings to ensure the club remains at the forefront of the country’s rider development. The 2011 League Champions were withdrawn from the National League at the end of last season due to the spiralling costs of the league but the management team have worked hard to come up with a strategy that will maximise rider development but limit costs.

SCUNTHORPE will not be entering a team in the National League next season.
But club boss Rob Godfrey hopes it may only be a one-year sabbatical for the Saints, because he has confirmed his intention to re-join the third tier in 2014 if it is feasible to do so.
04.11.12: Young & Clegg pick up Saints' awards
TOM YOUNG and Max Clegg have picked up the awards for Rider Of The Year and Most Improved Rider Of The Year respectively for the Jotun Paints Scunthorpe Saints.
The winners were revealed at the Scunthorpe End-Of-Season social function on Friday.

A DVD of last Saturday's National League Riders' Championship from Rye House, won by Ashley Birks with Gary Irving in third, is now on sale.
