27.01.07: Sunday Practice OFF but two next week |

| Sorry to have to say but despite two days work from our excellent track staff we will not be able to run a practice tomorrow. For once we had a still day and we just couldn't get the track to dry out. However, we are planning to run both Saturday and Sunday next week and anyone attending both can have the Sunday for the price of £15. The sessions will be Saturday 12-4pm and Sunday 1-5pm. |  |

27.01.07: Auty to also ride in the Premier League |

| Josh Auty, the Scunthorpe Scorpions’ top rider in 2006, will also be riding on loan with the Premier League Redcar Bears in 2007. As well as riding with the Scorpions the 16-year old will also share a reserve berth with Rusty Hodgson for the Bears. |  |

31.01.07: McKinna leaves Scorpions' squad |

| Scottish rider Adam McKinna will not be part of the Scunthorpe Scorpions squad in 2007 and instead will ride for the Cleveland Bays. He has decided that a full-time Conference League place would be more beneficial to his career and unfortunately the Scorpions couldn’t offer him that. | |

01.02.07: Scunthorpe commit to rider development |

| In a sport where riders can struggle to get the necessary track time Scunthorpe Speedway are continuing to underline their commitment to the development of British speedway riders by running, for the first time, two practice sessions in one weekend (3rd and 4th February) at the Scunthorpe Raceway. The track already runs more off-season practice sessions than most, Sittingbourne being the only real challenger, and with demand high at this time of year it was felt a second session over a weekend might prove popular. | |

02.02.07: Club awarded British Under-21 Championship Semi-Final |

| Scunthorpe Speedway has been awarded a semi-final of the 2007 British Under-21 Championship. The meeting, to be run on Sunday 15th April at 3pm, will see sixteen of the country’s top young riders battle it out for five places in the British Under-21 Final, which will take place at Eastbourne on Saturday 28th April. | |
