The meeting was the latest in a long line of thrillers since the club moved into the Premier League and the match wasn&#8217;t won until the penultimate race.  Leading the scoring was Magnus Karlsson with eleven points whilst Andrew Moore, Carl Wilkinson and Richard Hall were all paid for ten.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[The Henderson Insurance Scunthorpe Scorpions&#8217; Magnus Karlsson has been forced by his Swedish club, Valsarna, to ride in their league meeting  against Viktor Bergström&#8217;s Solkatterna side after initially being told he wouldn&#8217;t be required.  In the meantime Karlsson had agreed to line-up for the Hull Vikings in a challenge match at Sheffield but it seems injuries now mean he needs to ride in Sweden and SVEMO, the Swedish governing body, has an agreement in place with the BSPA, that means he would be banned if he didn&#8217;t give the Swedish league meeting priority over a challenge match in Britain.]]></description>

In the Open class Mike Pickering was flawless, winning all his six rides, to head home first round winner Stuart Parnaby, John MacPhail and Jitendra Duffill.]]></description>
