• DAVID HOWE, ruled out of nearly the whole of the 2012 Scunthorpe Scorpions season with shoulder problems, will make his return from injury in the Christmas Cracker at Somerset’s Oak Tree Arena on Friday, December 28.

• THE EDDIE WRIGHT RACEWAY will stage its largest-ever Amateur Meeting today (Saturday, 11am). Sixty riders are scheduled to take place in a mind-boggling 99 races. Admission is free.
