14.05.12: Jones wins classic final
Steven Jones is looking for a National League place and if this meeting was anything to go by he shouldn’t have to wait long. 13.05.12: Depleted Saints put up fighting performance
JOTUN PAINTS Scunthorpe Saints bowed out of the National League KO Cup at Stoke’s Loomer Road yesterday (Sunday), but only after a fine battling display from a depleted Saints’ line-up, with the two-legged tie only decided in the final of 30 races.

Saints went into the match, minus the injured trio of Jerran Hart, Adam Wrathall and Oliver Greenwood, while Steve Worrall (riding for Premier League Newcastle) and Danny Phillips (riding in British Youth Championships at Mildenhall) were also missing. Guest Ashley Morris, plus Tommy Fenwick and Simon Allan, were drafted in as cover.
