Looking for something out of the ordinary for your corporate day?

Want your sports and social club members to see how much fun riding speedway bikes can be?

Or simply have a group of friends who fancy a bash at the sport?

Scunthorpe Speedway provide a superb speedway experience on their purpose-built track. The track is usually used for training newcomers to the sport and is suitable for all abilities, from an experienced Moto X rider to someone riding a motorcycle for the very first time.

The scaled down track is much more fun than a full-sized one for starting out in the sport and it is also easier to ‘slide’ a bike on the tighter turns. The club have a range of bikes which are ideally suited to creating that speedway experience. Most of the engines are 125cc but there are also others ranging from 140cc to 250cc bikes. Groups of 10 to 12 are ideal as that ensures everyone gets plenty of track time. Safety equipment is provided and training is courtesy of an experienced rider (usually former Elite League rider and Scunthorpe Scorpions Wayne Carter). Youtube video clips can be viewed via the links on the website minitrack page.

The standard package provides a four-hour track session (after signing-on and kitting out) for £600 although bespoke packages can be tailored to the customer’s requirements.

With regards to 2012 a list of possible weekend dates (as at November 2011 so please double-check) are listed below whilst there are also mid-week dates available but as with the weekend dates please contact Richard Hollingsworth at richard@scunthorpespeedway.com, via www.facebook.com/rh1967 or on 07832-402167.

Of course if you want to experience the thrill of sliding a speedway bike and aren't part of a group then we run regular public sessions. Simply click on the MINI-TRACK section to find out more.
