| Our 11th Amateur meeting of the year, and 7th of the Summer Championship takes place on Saturday 20th September 1-5pm. As always riders of all standards are welcome. We have open and support adult classes whilst this time it is the turn of the Youth 500 class. 22.09.08: Sarj becomes first summer champion |

| On Saturday afternoon Scunthorpe Speedway ran the seventh round of the www.jbsportsimages.co.uk Summer Championship with 37 riders in three classes racing 60 races in just over three and a half hours. The penultimate round of the championship saw the Youth 500cc Champion declared with 14-year old James Sarjeant taking the title after winning all three rounds that took place. However, for once, Sarjeant didn’t have it all his own way with the West Midlands’ Ashley Morris heading him home on two occasions. | |
