| With tomorrow's weather forecast quite terrible we have been left with no alternative but to postpone our amateur meeting seven days until Saturday 16th March. Anyone wanting to book in please call Richard on 07832-402167. Sunday's practice is expected to go ahead as planned. |  |

28.02.13: Greenwood doubles up |

| The second round of the Scunthorpe Speedway Winter Series saw former Scunthorpe Saint Oliver Greenwood repeat his win of the first round ahead of Scunthorpe Scorpion Josh Bates, King’s Lynn’s Shane Waldron and former Scunthorpe and Sheffield rider Paul Cooper who made his track return after a near two year absence. However, Greenwood didn’t have it all his own way as Bates defeated him twice on the way to a maximum in qualifying before the 18-year old from Staffordshire gained revenge in the final. | |

10.02.13: Winter Series finally under way |

| The Scunthorpe Amateur Winter Series finally got under way last weekend with Oliver Greenwood winning the Open Class ahead of Shane Waldron, Paul Starke and new Henderson Insurance Scunthorpe Scorpion Josh Bates. Thirty five riders took place in sixty-five races and this coming weekend (Saturday 16th February) sees the second round with a full day’s racing set to commence at 11am. | |

16.01.13: Amateur Meeting put back to 2nd February |

| Following on from the snow and hard frosts we have been encountering this week we have had to cancel this coming weekend's track activity (Wayne Carter Main Track Training School on Saturday, Wayne Carter Mini Track session on Sunday and Main Track Open Practice). In addition the amateur meeting scheduled for 26th January has been put back seven days to 2nd February. It is hoped that we will be able to recommence track action with a main track open practice on Sunday 27th January. | |

11.01.13: Amateur meeting off, practice on |

| Despite a significant improvement in track conditions it is with regret that tomorrow's amateur meeting has had to be called off. Sadly there is still too much grip on the inside of the first turn and rider safety is paramount. The intention is for Sunday's practice to run (12.30pm-4.30pm) whilst the next amateur meeting will be Saturday 26th January. |
